A lot of relationships start with a greeting.
But for relationships to flourish, they require more than a greeting. For relationships to be beautifully beneficial, intentional conversations are to be had, fun and honest moments to be experienced and possibilities are to be explored. All of these require more than a passing hello. The greeting in one of the languages in South Africa, isiZulu is sawubona, which means I See You. This is my greeting to the world, but is more than a greeting. It is my hope that I will see others, learn from others and that they will see me through my words and perhaps even learn something from me.
A more-than-hello life is a life of great intentionality.
This will be a space and community where we will explore some questions together, feel free to be uncomfortable for a while and explore some possibilities in thought without feeling any sense of judgement. Through journaling and writing my own book, I have learned that it is important not to be over-critical of your own work, otherwise you’ll never write. Write even if you feel it isn’t enough. Write even if you feel nobody will ever read it. Write. So, I would love that this community be one that asks, writes and explores without judgement.
I will write to you every month.
